Route 280 Diversion - Towards Tunbridge Wells - Centre
Due to the closure of Upper Grosvenor Road for essential gas repair works route 280 will be diverted from Bishops Down towards Tunbridge Wells centre.
The route will serve from Bishops Down through to Royal Chase as normal, then will turn right along Mount Ephraim, then left in to Church Road, right in to Mount Pleasant Road, serving the rail station and resuming normal route.
Towards Bishops Down the route will operate as normal
Route 289 Diversion - Towards Tunbridge Wells - Centre
Upper Grosvenor Road in Tunbridge Wells will be closed for essential gas repair works for up to six weeks from Wednesday 22nd July 2026. Route 289 from Southborough towards Sainsburys.
The route will not turn in to Upper Grosvenor road but will continue along the A26 then turn left in to Church Road, then right in to Mount Pleasant Road towards Tunbridge Wells rail station and then resume normal route.
This diversion is towards Sainsburys only, Showfields, Ramslye estate and towards Broomhill Park Road are not affected

Due to Three Elm Lane being closed
We will be unable to serve the following roads until the road has reopened:
Three Elm Lane (Golden Green), Tonbridge Road (Banes Street)
Addlestead Street (East Peckham), Chidley Cross Road (East Peckham)
Buses will resume their normal line of route on Pound Road.

Farningham Village Closed - Diversion on the 2 & 429
- Affected stops:

- White Post Corner, S-bound
Diversions are in place on the 2 & 429 because of a road closure in Farningham.

Temporary timetable begins.
SGN gas works close Halstead Lane (Knockholt), Knockholt Road and Parkside (Halstead). Buses run:
Sevenoaks → Riverhead → Dunton Green → Polhill → Halstead → Badgers Mount → Pratts Bottom → Rushmore Hill → Knockholt → Green Street Green → Orpington (and reverse).

Dunton Green not served
Thames Water closes the A224 London Road at Dunton Green. Buses run direct between Riverhead and Polhill via the M25 — times are unchanged.
Sevenoaks → Riverhead → Polhill (direct via M25) → Halstead → Badgers Mount → Pratts Bottom → Rushmore Hill → Knockholt → Green Street Green → Orpington.

Dunton Green served again. The A224 reopens and buses serve Dunton Green again. The temporary timetable continues to apply.
