477 - Connecting Two towns. Up to two buses an hour. One easy fare.

The 477 is your direct link between Swanley and Dartford, running up to every 30 minutes through the day, Monday to Saturday — with buses from early morning until the evening.

Along the way we serve Hextable and Wilmington, connecting the villages in between with everything the two towns have to offer: Swanley High Street, Asda at Bartholomew Way and Swanley Station at one end, and Dartford's shops, Market Street and the town centre at the other.

New: extra 07:40 from Swanley

We've added an extra peak-hour journey departing Swanley at 07:40, giving you one more option to get into Dartford in good time for work, college or a connecting train.

It's a simple bit of extra capacity at the busiest point of the morning — so there's more room, more choice, and less reason to take the car.

Our school journeys between Swanley and Wilmington Academy, Wilmington Grammar and Dartford Grammar are renumbered from 477S to D77 from September — same buses, same links, new number. Different fares apply on the D77, so check our Schools & Colleges pages before you travel.
