GoBus is pleased to announce a special heritage passenger service on Saturday 17th October, featuring the return of one of its most prominent historical fleet vehicles, "Betty”a restored Marshall Capital Dennis Dart SLF—to Route 477 serving Swanley and Dartford.

Originally built as a Metroline DMS19 (registration S519 KFL), the vehicle holds significant significance in Go-Coach history. Purchased by company founder Austin Blackburn in October 2009, it was the very first single-deck bus to join the Go-Coach fleet, later designated as fleet number 5003.

Following its withdrawal from active service in late 2017, the bus underwent an extensive, multi-year restoration back to its original Go-Coach livery. Having officially passed its annual roadworthiness inspection earlier this month, the vehicle will return to service for a limited one-day special.

Event & Fare Details

The vehicle will operate the standard scheduled services between Swanley and Dartford throughout the day. Standard ticket pricing and regional network passes will remain fully valid:

  • Route 477 Day Ticket: £5.50
  • GoBus 'Go Anywhere' Day Ticket: £7.30 (Unlimited network travel)
  • Regional Discovery Pass: £10.00
  • Standard Single/Return Fares: Standard fare tables apply

All special heritage operations remain subject to final on-the-day vehicle availability.
